Reminder: Wednesday is Lower School Jeans Day

Wednesday May 16th is JEANS DAY at the lower school. Students may wear jeans, no shorts/cut-offs or ragged jeans, with a MVA polo shirt to school. Basically the standard uniform except for the jeans.

Students must bring $2.00 for the privilege to wear the jeans - the money goes to Dr. Blair's reading camp.

MVA Community Service Food Drive Spotlighted at Lower-school Assembly

Roberts Gymnasium during last Friday's Lower-school morning assembly commemorated a hefty assortment of food items that had been collected throughout the "MVA Food-Drive" that occurred April 23-27. The donations were carried by students then placed at "Eagles' mid-court" to show the large quantity of foods-supplies that had been amassed as a result of the efforts, planning and cooperation of the MVA community who worked so hard

MVA’s “An Evening Under the Stars” Shines

20120425 7847 330x"An Evening Under the Stars" was a philanthropic event held on April 20, 2012, inside the McQuaig Gymnasium and Activities Center of Montverde Academy. This wonderful occasion embraced both community fellowship and school altruism and was organized by "MVA K-Kids" - a group of 25 students from 3rd-5th grade in the Lower-school that have participated in many successful community service projects this year. The Wedding of “Q and U” Venerated at Lower-school Assembly

20120419 q-u 039 330xThe "Wedding of Q&U" is an exclusive event of the MVA Kindergarten program that took place on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. inside the Roberts Gymnasium during the Lower-school morning assembly. This nuptial ceremony, led by Mrs. Shackelford, Dean of Lower-school, was essentially a mock-wedding ceremony that integrated students in a service-processional and symbolically united the letters Q and U. Many of the girl participants wore princess-style dresses, gloves, crowns and "fancy shoes"

Pet Awareness Day Recently Held in PK3

Cynthia Cunningham, MVA's Lower-school Computer Technology and Drama teacher, has informed Montverde.net that Montverde Academy's Lower-school will be presenting their own special interpretation of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Willy Wonka Junior) tomorrow night, Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 6:30 p.m.
