After a challenging week against intense competition, the Montverde Academy Eagles varsity volleyball team defeated the Forest Lake Academy Panthers on Thursday evening at home in the McQuaig Gymnasium. Throughout the match, the Eagles persevered with intensity and determination to defeat the Lady Panthers on their home court.

The Montverde Academy Varsity Volleyball team opened up the 2011-2012 campaign with promise Monday night as the Eagles played their first game on the road against Forest Lake Academy. The Eagles lost the first two games 20-25 and 18-25, won the 3rd game 25-20, and took a tough loss in the final game 25-18. “I was very impressed by the amount of determination and heart I saw tonight,” said 1st year Head Coach Christeena Bertinetti. “This team has demonstrated tremendous overall desire and a will to be successful that every coach searches for in a team. I am definitely looking forward to coaching the Eagles this season and continue to push them to reach their true potential.”
