Grand Opening of The National Tennis Academy @ MVA

Saturday marked the official grand opening of The National Tennis Academy on the campus of Montverde Academy. The all-day event took place at MVA’s brand new state-of-the-art tennis facility as several instructional staff members were on hand to work with children of all ages and skill sets. From technique to agility exercises, the staff members of The National Tennis Academy brought an enthusiastic approach to the overall experience and impressed those who were in attendance with their ability to teach the game.
“We cannot express how excited we are to officially announce our partnership with The National Tennis Academy,” said Director of Athletics Mike Potempa. “Our grand opening proved to be an excellent opportunity not only for the Montverde Academy family, but the local community as we continue to try and provide the very best programs for our students.”
Ripley Amell, Owner and Director of The National Tennis Academy, will be working with the MVA varsity tennis teams in addition to the student body as part of the after school activities program. Marcelo Gouts, an NTA partner, will oversee beginner level instruction for lower and middle school students throughout the academic year. “I believe that The National Tennis Academy will bring a tremendous amount of experience, expertise, and excitement to Montverde Academy through the game of tennis. They have the capability of working with all levels and abilities and I feel that the partnership is a wonderful addition to Montverde Academy athletics,” said Potempa.
