MVA Girls Varsity Softball Team Wins at Home

Montverde, Fla., Feb. 22, 2012 - MVA Girls Varsity Softball team defeated Ocoee High School by a final score of 5-3 last night in a game played at home simultaneously next to the Boys' Varsity Baseball game with Leesburg High. MVA's spirits were elevated by the challenges of playing what seemed to many in attendance an obviously older Ocoee squad. Nonetheless, Ocoee proved no contest for our Lady Eagles who used sound softball fundamentals and the experienced coaching of Head Coach Bob Pinto and staff for the important instruction to help pull off the convincing win. The Lady Eagles are back in action with a District game February 23, 2012, away against First Academy.
