This school year, Montverde Academy will be beginning a women’s soccer team. This new sports program will be a building year comprised of athletes as young as 7th and 8th graders and as old as 12th graders. The MVA Women’s Varsity Soccer team will be instructed by Coach Robbie Aristodemo. Mr. Aristodemo also teaches Upper School Health and is a proud husband and father of two delightful children. His athletic career and background is as extensive as it is impressive. Mr. Aristodemo played college soccer at University of Tulsa before playing ten years for the Canadian National team. Mr. Aristodemo then played professional soccer for another ten years in North America. Coach Aristodemo recently retired from professional soccer and is eager about the opportunity of developing a program from the ground level.
“I want our girls to be proud to be an eagle and we want to prove to MVA that we will be a team that is committed, dedicated and passionate and hopefully soon very good. As a coach I am looking to build the program and establish ourselves as a program that develops players and continuously gets better and I just want to share my knowledge and passion of the game to the girls at MVA, “commented Aristodemo.
The MVA women’s soccer season will start in November and a schedule currently being solidified. The MVA community is very excited for the Varsity Women’s Soccer program to begin and look forward supporting Coach Aristodemo and his new team.
