Gary Gilchrist Named Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in United States

Gary Gilchrist has been selected among the 50 Best Golf Teachers in America according to the November issue Golf Digest. Montverde Academy congratulates the golf mentor and founder of The Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy (GGGA) on his superb accolade of recognition. Many people in the MVA community recognize the Gilchrist name in relationship to our school's academic partnership with the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy at Mission Inn Resort in nearby Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The GGGA has been an internationally respected institution for their work and teaching of the Gary Gilchrist's "Train Like a Champion" golf system that helps junior golfers advance aspects of both their physical and technical game as it prepares them for the art of golf tournament competition.
An October 2011 GGGA press release shares that Mr. Gilchrist is especially honored to be selected. "I'm very proud that my commitment and dedication to the game of golf has been recognized by my peers, and I want to thank them for that...The accomplishment is very special to me." Gilchrist grew up playing golf in South Africa and later won many PGA competitions before starting his career as a golf teacher with such fine golf institutes as the David Leadbetter Golf Academy of Florida, IMG Golf Academies, and the International Junior Golf Academy in in Hilton Head Island, S.C., before committing much of his time and efforts towards working with GGGA.
