Varsity Boys’ Baseball Defeats Deltona Trinity Christian

Last night, February 16th, 2012, Montverde Academy Boys' Baseball Eagles were once again victorious – this time beating Deltona Trinity Christian in thrilling fashion 7-6 . According Head Coach Tim Layden, "Angel Alicea drove in the winning run with 2 outs in the 7th inning for the walk off win. Bryan Scheker reached base with 2 outs and stole second on the first pitch. The next pitch, Angel drove to right field scoring Scheker. Alexis Torres threw 6 outstanding innings on the mound and was relieved by Joshua Santos who pitched a scoreless 7th for the win. Other highlights were, Alexis Rivera had a 2 run home run and Matt Rivera had two runs scored."

The Eagles are back in action tomorrow, February 18th, 2012, for a 1:00 p.m. game against University High School on the field of Bishop Moore High School at 1.pm.
