September Volunteer of the Month - Kalena Myers

In the past, we have never nominated a faculty member of the Academy for Volunteer of the Month. However, we just had to make an exception at the beginning of this school year...

Last month, our Board was very proud to announce September's Volunteer of the Month was Kalena Meyers! We're convinced that most of Kalena's days must start at 5am every morning, and end with her falling asleep over her desk at midnight. Kalena does the job of a staff of people and we're always impressed and amazed with the wonderful, well-organized events she coordinates throughout the year for the Academy.

This past summer, while she was planning the Centennial Celebration, the golf tournament, the FunRun, along with a move into a new office, Kalena managed to organize many of the moving parts for the Parents Association's Welcome Back Breakfast as well! While we were enjoying the end of our summer vacations, Kalena had our suntanned backs! We hope everyone at the Academy hears the joyful sound our "Thank You" makes when it lands in front of the new office of Kalena Meyers!

October Volunteer of the Month - Jennifer Peeples

The PA Board is pleased to announce that October's Volunteer of the Month is Jennifer Peeples!

Since joining the Montverde Academy family, Jennifer has served dozens of volunteer hours, attended numerous event planning sessions, rolled up her sleeves and decorated and cleaned up before and after countless PA events. Last month, Jennifer and her husband, Mark (along with the their company, "Jordan Norris Printing & Design"), contributed the graphics design and printing for all of the Father/Daughter Dance invitations. She even helped get each invitation into the teachers' hands for distribution to all of our Montverde Academy girls.

Therefore, we couldn't let another month go by without formally expressing our gratitude. Jennifer, you've become a treasured friend - and an appreciated asset - to our Parents Association. Thank you!

May Volunteer of the Month - Vicki Karen

Traditionally, the PA President announces our Volunteer of the Month during PA meetings, held each month at the student center. The monthly newsletters announce the previous month's Volunteer of the Month. This way, our honored volunteer will be surprised, and we can get the PA newsletter to you at the beginning of the month - instead of the middle of the month - after the PA meeting when our volunteer's name is announced.
