Uniform Swap

Last month, the MVA PA enjoyed another successful uniform swap, thanks to the efforts of Debbie Grayford and her team of volunteer parents. The uniform swap allows parents and staff to purchase used MVA uniforms for as little as $5 for some items.  

At the beginning of each summer, parents turn in uniforms that their child has outgrown. They receive “Montverde credit” for each article swapped in good condition. At the end of each summer, they use their “Montverde credits” to purchase well-fitting uniforms at the Uniform Swap. This program saves Montverde families hundreds of dollars every school year.

Once again, Debbie Grayford has spearheaded this effort. For the sixth year in a row, Debbie has graciously volunteered to collect used MVA student uniforms; sew an endless number of buttons and zippers; wash jackets, pants, shorts, and shirts; and organize everything for this year’s back-to-school uniform swap. Thank you, Debbie!
