MVA Parent’s Association Honors Teachers and Staff with Appreciation Dinner

Aloha from the MVA PA! On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, the MVA Parent's Association, under the guidance, direction, and planning of President Cheryl McDonnell, held their annual "Teacher Appreciation Dinner" inside the Martha Bedell Dining Hall. The event was a special occasion for MVA staff and faculty to be honored for all their hard work and dedication to the school, students, parents, and community over the last two semesters. The Volunteer of the Month has been awarded to two outstanding mothers would put in countless hours to make the Carnival a huge success. Thank you to Heather Johnson and Brenda Boggs for all their hard work!

MVA Parent's Association to Meet this Week

The MVA Parent's Association Meeting will be held at the MVA Student Center Friday, March 2, at 8:30a.m. and is open to all parents, guardians, and grandparents of MVA students. "Little ones are always welcome at out PA meetings!"

Ways To Get Involved

The MVA Parents’ Association would like your consideration for involvement in the following upcoming activities:

• Mother/Son Camp-out 2/25 - 2/26 at the Florida Elks Youth Camp:
  • MVA moms will have the opportunity to spend the weekend with their sons, and enjoy canoeing, archery, and fun-filled arts & crafts!  Tent camping and cabin rentals are both available.Tickets will include admission, all activities, a camp T-shirt, lunch, dinner & snacks on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday. • MVA Football Signups!
  • Coach Treweek would like to get 8th grade through 11th grade students to commit to the team before this March. The football coaches plan to hold an information meeting in February. More details about the February meeting are forthcoming. Students interested in playing football this fall or going to conditioning camp in May, can notify Coach Treweek, Coach Clapper, Coach Carpenter, Mr. Delmolino, or Mr. Potempa.
